In 2008 Rats released their first EP, “So Long And Thanks For All The Fish”. The record received good (if somewhat bemused) reviews
and saw them play on 3voor 12’s “Hollandse Nieuwe” nights and the “Local Heroes” event, hosted by Dutch magazine Live XS.
Their other record, a single, “The Moneyman” (a cover of a song by Rotterdam heroes KIEM) was released in September 2010.
The record was brought out on their own label and was produced by KIEM frontman, Huub Kentie.
The b-side to this single, “Plastic Plaster” was played by Cerys Matthews on her BBC 6Music show
Rats were invited by the Dutch broadcasting giants VPRO to compose a track for the Tiger Award winning film,
“Bleak Night”, shown at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam. A Dutch language interview with an
enthusiastic presenter can be seen HERE. Rats have recently played Tilburg’s prestigious Incubate Festival

musical jam wagon that is Popronde in November 2011
Rats were personally asked by the Late Great Jay Reatard to open for him, and the band have also opened for US acts

Dutch New Wave heroes (and Factory Records band) Minny Pops on their “Standstill to Motion” UK tour. Minnypops.com
